About the Course
This course is a practical guide for developing and maintaining a light and positive state of mind, showing how to recognize and abandon thoughts and intentions that harm us, and to replace them with meaningful and beneficial ones. The inspiring discovery we make from the exploring and discovering how our mind works is that we can heal our mental pain and attain a lasting state of joy and peace regardless of how things are going in our life.

About the Class
Our introductory meditation class begins with a guided meditation, followed by a talk on a certain topic (listed above), and ends with another guided meditation. Class is followed by refreshments and time to chat with the teacher and other students. Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary.

About the teacher

Naomi King

Naomi is a Kadampa Buddhist meditation teacher who has been studying and practicing Buddhism for more than thirty years. She will introduce profoundly creative meditation methods that bring a deep, inner peace and a kind and loving heart, as taught by her teacher, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Her classes are ideal for those new to meditation as well as those with previous experience.
