Introduction to Buddhist Meditation – Mindfulness for Modern Living
June 28 – September 6

In this introductory class designed especially for beginners, you will learn basic meditation practices and the Buddhist approach to training the mind. An emphasis will be placed on learning how to begin a meditation practice at home, and how to integrate the very practical teachings of Buddhism into your life.

Breathing Peace
Learn the practice of mindfulness in relationship to the breath. A simple, practical method designed to create a sense of inner stillness and contentment by abiding peacefully with our own breath.

What to Expect at a Class:

Our Wednesday evening introductory meditation class begins with a guided meditation, followed by a talk on a certain topic (listed above), and ends with another guided meditation. Class is followed by refreshments and time to chat with the teacher and other students. Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary.

Trina Gunther began practicing Kadampa Buddhism after attending her first class in 2004 and she started teaching four years later. Trina is appreciated for her clear and pure presentations of the Dharma as well as her kind and gentle nature.
