Sept. 21-Nov. 9: Overcoming Anger

Anger ruins a good day, a good relationship, a good life! It robs us of our happiness and destroys our mental well-being. In this course, we are exploring practical solutions to the problem of anger. We’re deconstructing the causes of anger and learning to transform this painful habit of mind by training in meditation and understanding Buddhist psychology.

New course! The Habits of Incredibly Happy People – starts Nov. 16

Ever admired anyone who simply radiates happiness? What do they know that you don’t (yet!) know? In this course, we’ll explore the habits of mind that incredibly happy people have. Join us, starting Friday, November 16, as we explore each of the habits!

About the Class

Class begins with a guided meditation, followed by a talk on a topic (listed above), and ends with another guided meditation. Everyone is welcome. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Free for YMCA members; $5 for non-members.

About the teacher

Susan de la Vergne

Susan has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2011 and began teaching in 2014. Susan is appreciated for her stories, humor, and practical advice, helping her students put Dharma teachings into practice in their daily lives.
