Our relationship with our body can be a source of peace and positivity, or pain, and insecurity. We may find that we identify our body as being the cornerstone of who we are, but this is a mistaken view. If we base our worth and value on our physical appearance, we are highly susceptible to insecurity, depression and discontent. An unhealthy relationship with the body can lead to various problems, including eating disorders, addictions, mental and emotional pain, and a lack of self-confidence; these in turn can interfere with our ability to live a happy, healthy and productive life. In this workshop, Kadam Rebecca will share various Buddhist teachings to help alleviate the mental sufferings associated with body image.
